Experience the wild beauty of Kyrgyzstan on this 4-day trekking adventure to the famous Ala-Kul Lake. This journey takes you deep into the Terskey Ala-Too mountains, through alpine forests, glacier rivers, remote valleys, and high mountain passes.
Starting from Karakol, you will hike through the scenic Karakol Gorge, camp in peaceful alpine valleys, cross the breathtaking Ala-Kul Pass at nearly 4,000 meters, and discover the turquoise waters of Ala-Kul Lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks.
Along the way, enjoy authentic mountain life, stay in traditional yurts and guest houses, relax in the natural hot springs of Altyn-Arashan, and experience some of the most beautiful trekking routes in Kyrgyzstan.

In the morning, depart from Karakol town and drive toward the beautiful Karakol Gorge, one of the most popular trekking areas in the Issyk-Kul region. The trail begins near the river and continues through dense pine forests, green meadows, and mountain landscapes surrounded by the peaks of the Terskey Ala-Too range.
During the hike, enjoy fresh mountain air, flowing rivers, and occasional views of horses grazing freely in the valleys. The route gradually ascends through the gorge, offering peaceful scenery and excellent photo opportunities along the way.
After lunch in the mountains, continue trekking toward Sirota Camp located at around 3,000 meters above sea level. Arrive at the campsite in the late afternoon, surrounded by spruce forests and alpine nature. Dinner and overnight stay at tents or shared yurts.

After breakfast, begin one of the most challenging and rewarding trekking days of the journey. The trail climbs steadily through rocky terrain and mountain paths toward the stunning Ala-Kul Lake, located at approximately 3,500 meters above sea level.
The lake is famous for its bright turquoise color created by glacier water and is considered one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in Kyrgyzstan. Spend some time here enjoying the scenery, taking photos, and relaxing beside the lake surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks.
Later, continue hiking toward Ala-Kul Pass at nearly 3,950 meters. From the top, enjoy panoramic views over the snow-covered Tian Shan mountains and surrounding valleys. Afterward, descend along a steep mountain trail toward the picturesque Keldyke Valley where the campsite is located. Dinner and overnight stay at tents or shared yurts.

In the morning, continue trekking downhill through the scenic mountain valleys toward Altyn-Arashan, one of the most famous alpine valleys in Kyrgyzstan. The route passes green pastures, rivers, forests, and open landscapes surrounded by high mountain peaks.
The trek today is easier compared to the previous day and offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the peaceful nature of the area. Along the way, you may cross small mountain streams and encounter local shepherds with horses and livestock grazing in the valley.
Arrive at Altyn-Arashan in the afternoon. This area is well known for its natural hot springs and stunning mountain scenery. After checking into the guest house or yurt camp, relax in the hot springs and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the valley after several days of trekking. Dinner and overnight stay in a guest house.

After breakfast, spend some time exploring the surroundings of Altyn-Arashan Valley and enjoying the views of the nearby mountain peaks, including the impressive Peak Palatka rising above the valley.
Later, begin the final trek following the river trail through forests and mountain landscapes toward Ak-Suu village. The route mostly descends and offers a relaxing final hiking experience surrounded by untouched nature.
Upon arrival in Ak-Suu village, meet the driver and transfer back to Karakol town. Arrival in Karakol in the late afternoon marks the end of the trekking adventure.
